About Joana Amado SimoesSound designer | UK
Driven by my ambition of becoming a successful filmmaker, I moved from Portugal to study in the UK. Despite the downgrade in the weather, I’ve been making the most of my time, having worked as a sound designer on multiple projects including We Got It Easy (now available on BBC iPlayer) and Mapped (director: Rachel Tillotson).
I’ve also had previous success in a number of other different projects, most notably the horror film ‘Live Bait’, and I have previously worked on drama, documentary, fantasy, comedy and musical.
I love audio and sound and I’m always excited to bring different projects to life, exploring soundscapes in different worlds and mediums. Even though my focus has been in film, I aim to expand my horizons and work in video games and animation.
