About Nicolas Vön Moreau
Composer | CanadaI’m Nicolas Vön Moreau, a composer and sound designer with a background in jazz and a great interest for storytelling through sound. I started out studying jazz drums and arrangement at Cégep Marie-Victorin and later majored in jazz composition and arrangement Université de Montréal, where I also explored sound creation through a minor degree in Digital Music. I went on to do a double master’s in screen composition through the InMICS program, splitting my time between Belgium and France and working with all kinds of wonderful filmmakers, animators, and game devs along the way.
Over the years, I’ve worked on short films, games, and a few larger productions. Some of my scores — including Ma Tendre Moitié — were nominated at the Griffix Film Awards, and in 2024 I got an honorary mention in sound design at Soundtrack_Cologne. These days, I’m also working as a scoring assistant and copyist on TV shows and films, including Dood Spoor, The Mysterious Case of the Belgian Triangle, and The Swedish Torpedo. I’m also working as a sound designer, my portfolio containing titles such as Honor Of The Kings, Gloop, EvoWaves and ECHO.
