About Andrei Urucu
Sound editor | RomaniaAs a graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Popular Music and Music Technology, I am confident that my skills, hands-on experience, and passion for sound design make me a strong fit for the role.
I have a solid foundation in music theory, harmony, and recording, thanks to my early career as a bass player and having played profesionally for over 10 years, subsequently training in various instruments and music production techniques. This practical experience has given me a deep understanding of the creative and technical aspects of sound design.
I am proficient in Ableton Live, a key tool in my music production and sound design process, as well as Reaper, where I’ve developed expertise in production, mixing, and mastering. I also have extensive experience using iZotope RX for audio post-production, processing, and editing. Furthermore, during my studies, I gained familiarity with Pro Tools, which has been instrumental in my work on commercial scoring and more intricate sound design tasks.
In addition to my technical skills, I have worked on audio editing for a variety of musical projects, as well as scores for theater plays, honing my ability to adapt sound to different artistic contexts. My experience has taught me how to handle tight deadlines and work efficiently under pressure, consistently delivering high-quality results. I have developed excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, which allow me to collaborate effectively with teams and clients.
