About Fred Badham
Field recordist | UKI am a student at the University of South Wales studying BSc. Sound Engineering
with a scholarship. I am currently employed as Sound Engineer for The Zen Bar in
Cardiff, and work as a sound recordist/designer for short films and documentaries, including Spirit Breaker, an Amazon Prime exclusive TV series. This has provided me with diverse experience in the field of audio, as well as giving me valuable teamwork and communication skills.
Working at The Zen Bar for the past year I have engineered a variety of bands, which
has greatly improved my technical abilities in audio work, as well as developing my
critical listening skills. I have sound designed for short films, including foley, ADR,
FX and composition, which has made me proficient in both Logic and Pro Tools. I
have also has some fantastic work experience opportunities, most notably being asked
to record the Cardiff Philharmonic Orchestra at St. David’s Hall.
