About Josh Stark
Field recordist | USA | New YorkJosh Stark is an audio engineer based in New York City with diverse expertise including location sound mixing, audio post-production, podcast production, live sound, and music production/engineering.
He began working with audio software at age 10 and has continued to further this passion since then.
He has worked on a wide range of projects including the world’s first live-streamed feature film (Curtains Live) as well as work for BuzzFeed, Pulse Percussion’s Holiday Percussion Ensemble, 54 Below, and NYU’s Faculty Jazz Band.
He currently serves as the president of the Recording Engineer and Producer Student Interest Group for NYU Music Technology.
He is a student member of both the Audio Engineering Society (AES) and the Society for Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE).
He is currently a rising junior enrolled in New York University Steinhardt’s Music Technology program.
He has also worked for TLC Computer Services providing technical support and computer installation services.
Additionally, he has been a percussionist for over a decade specializing in Scottish style snare and drum set, and has freelanced as a percussion instructor for beginning drummers.
