About Noah Kankanala

I’m Noah Kankanala, an Associate Audio Designer at Skydance Interactive specializing in systemic, environmental, and narrative-driven sound design. I create audio that deepens immersion and storytelling across VR, console, and PC, whether through ambiences, sound propagation systems, or cinematic and gameplay moments.
I began my career at Obsidian Entertainment contributing to Avowed, and hold a Master’s in Entertainment Technology from Carnegie Mellon University and a B.S. in Game Design from Indiana University. My passion for sound began with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, sparking a lifelong fascination with how audio shapes emotional connection and player experience.
My goal is to craft worlds where sound and design work in harmony, collaborating with teams who share a passion for storytelling, worldbuilding, and creating experiences that leave a lasting, positive impact on players.
