About Pablo Sekine

Video game music composer and sound designer.
Professional bassist since 2010 as a band leader and session player.

I started writing music for small ensembles and short movies in 2012. I work as a freelance educator and music teacher since 2011.

I started studying music in 2000, and in 2003 I was admitted at the Escuela de Música Contemporánea (EMC). I took bass, harmony and improvisation lessons from Prof. Guillermo Roldán from 2005 to 2009. In 2009 I was admitted at “Tecnicatura en Jazz” (Jazz Major) and the “Taller de composición trianual” (Composition Major) at the Manuel de Falla Conservatory, graduating in 2014 and 2013 respectively. These majors allowed me to expand my skills as an improvisor, arranger and composer. After graduating I looked to improve my skills on these areas by taking several courses and masterclasses about music for media, audio for video games and improvisation.

I was lucky to find, at a very young age, music and video games. Two disciplines I’m happy to be working with.

I’m now working as a video game music composer and sound designer. I’m also in charge of audio assets implementation using Unity engine’s audio manager for in-game mixing, creating builds in order to test game music and sound effects and using repository tools such as Gitlab for a more effective workflow.
