About Salil Bhayani

Composer | cAMP Studio | USA | California

Salil Bhayani is an award winning composer and producer based in Los Angeles. His vision as a composer is to tell compelling stories through the emotive quality of music, which he believes comes through a delicate balance of craft, skill, and intuition

His recent projects include his scores for TED-Ed Animation, Spanish documentary The Path of the Shepherd, thriller/horror film Landfill featuring Academy Award nominated Linda Blair, award winning action film Chase with Richard Riehle and Aries Spears, an adventure drama indie feature film The Silent Beat to name a few.

Films, documentaries, and web series scored by Bhayani have been a part of prestigious film festivals such as SXSW, Los Angeles Cinefest, Beverly Hills Film Festival, and Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival to name a few. Films he scored have been acquired by PBS, Lifetime Movie Network, Netflix, Amazon Prime and have seen worldwide distributions.

Bhayani’s latest project with the internationally acclaimed indie game studio Oleomingus is as the lead composer for their narrative driven, first person adventure game Under a Porcelain Sun. Set in post-colonial India, his scores for the studio are a bizarre fusion of Indian classical and folk melodies, contemporary sound design elements and a symphony orchestra.

Salil has recently worked with entrepreneur, playwright and TEDx concept creator Cooper Bates to score the Kickstarter campaign video for his entrepreneurial venture I Think Therefore I Question. He also scored the trailer for Black When I Was a Boy, an award-winning play by Bates.

Salil continues to work on a wide range of creative and impactful projects around the globe whilst constantly exploring different styles to bring a fresh perspective to each project. He improvises on existing genres incorporating traditional soundscapes with contemporary techniques not just from the film music world, but deriving inspirations from a wide array of musical genres including classical, rock, pop, blues, jazz, etc. and crossovers between them.
