About William Scoones

Sound Designer and Composer with experience in Unreal, Wwise, Unity and FMOD. Currently a student of the industry-leading MSc Sound and Music for Interactive Games at Leeds Beckett University. I make games sound good!

Having worked through multiple game jams, I’ve worked in a number of teams on game projects of varying size and scope, delivering each time a high standard audio experience. Source control, communicating clearly and helpfully in meetings across time zones and language barriers to get things done to a high standard – I’ve been there. I know how to keep calm and productive and most importantly, be there for the team when the going gets tough.

I am an orchestral composer and conductor with experience in film scoring and songwriting, as well as arranging, electronic music and music production.

I have written original soundtracks for multiple professional theatre productions and films, including sound design and post-production.

I was the Musical Director of a production of ‘Legally Blonde: The Musical’, which involved organising and leading a 30-piece cast and 10-piece orchestra as well as conducting 5 sold-out nights in a row.

I was also the keyboardist in the band ‘Marmalade Sandwich’, involved in the writing of our song ‘Footprints’ which has over 16,000 listens on Spotify.
