About Zach Salem

I am a lifelong musician and sound artist, with a background in music production, guitar performance, film score and sound design.

I recently acquired his master’s in Music Technology from NYU Steinhardt, where I focused on Game Audio, Automotive Sound, and Sonic Branding. My work included my master’s thesis on electric vehicle sound design, Audio designs and composition for VR learning apps, and an immersive original score mixed in Dolby Atmos.

I also work as a sound designer for theater and live performance including sound design and score for producer and choreographer Kiara Benn’s ‘Just For You’, an immersive and experimental dance show, and Saidiya Hartman & Kaneza Schaal’s ‘Litany for Grieving Sisters’ residency at Wesleyan University.

I recently composed an original score for Spenser Stroud’s Intero performed at the Center for Performance in New York as well as an original score for John Mastandrea’s film Beyond The Deli Door.

I am currently taking on new sound design, composition and music production projects and would love to connect!
