About Timmy Milner

I am a composer who studied music composition at the conservatory at Chapman University. There I spent my extra time composing scores for the film school students’ film. After college, I dove into recording pop/rock records. Recording in professional studios in Los Angeles with some of the best gear available got me hands on experience with analog compressors, consoles, and other amazing units. This really excited me on another level with sound. I’ve spent the last 15 years learning ways to get more power and more life out of recording and mixing. In 2024, I worked as the sound designer for Mammoth Vision and loved the work. I worked creating immersive sound experiences in the new multi-media galleries at the National Museum of the Marine Corps. I designed and edited sound effects at the Mammoth studio in Burbank, CA. Bringing helicopters, jets, tanks, and atmospheres to life. The speakers were built into the immersive sets at the museum in Virginia, and each gallery presented unique acoustic and experiential challenges. We flew out to Virginia to mix in person, in the room. I worked with routing programs like Dante, used advanced routing in Protools to publish 5.1 mixes. The variety of audio requirements for this project were a streamline of audio experience. I would love to get to work on the audio team for film/TV, video games, and more immersive experiences. I love designing sound effects and creating worlds that captivate people and take them to a new place.
