About B Michael SchwalbeVoice actor | What He Said Voiceovers LLC | USA | California
A director, writer, entrepreneur, and full-time voice actor and singer living in Los Angeles, California, B. Michael Schwalbe is often referred to as a “vocal chameleon.” He has performed as many as 60 roles for a single game, and can be heard in dozens of videogame titles, in addition to performing in numerous commercial and corporate campaigns.
During and after college, Michael sang and performed everything from rock and metal to jazz, blues, swing, and southern gospel, to classical, opera, acapella, and barbershop. Graduating with a Bachelors degree in Music Business from Belmont University, Michael then spent several years working at a division of Warner Music Nashville while continuing his vocal pursuits. Eventually, his talents started opening up doors at Warner, culminating in voicing Blake Shelton’s 2013 CMA promotional campaign, directly leading to the start of his voiceover and voice-casting business What He Said Voiceovers, LLC.
Seven years later, Michael has won a SOVAS award for Outstanding National Commercial Voiceover, cast or directed several dozen videogames and acted in many more. He is represented nationally by CESD Talent. He loves spending time and singing with with his wife Courtney, an accomplished vocal teacher and opera singer herself, playing videogames and board games, and curating his multiple collections of interesting doodads.
