About Becca Schack
Composer | USA | CaliforniaBecca Schack is a Los Angeles-based composer, producer and songwriter who creates music for film and media. She scored the comedy short “Smashed,” starring Rebecca Dennis, Teresa Ganzel, and Kim Chi, which has won Best Comedy Short in a few film festivals. She composed additional music for the upcoming feature film “iMordecai,” starring Judd Hirsch, Carol Kane, and Sean Aston. She just finished scoring the upcoming psychological thriller feature “Anne, With Love,” starring Blaine Morris, Danielle Harris, and Mena Suvari.Â
Becca’s songs have appeared in television shows including Bones, Made in Chelsea, Dance Moms, The Young & The Restless, and she has worked with music libraries such as APM, MPATH’s Phenomenal Women Series, and CrimeSonics. She has written, produced and performed songs for brand partnerships with Boots 17 Makeup and Bounty, the latter gaining over 20M views on Tik Tok for her song “Quicker Picker Upper.”
A graduate of the famed Juilliard School, Becca started winning recognition for her compositions at age eleven at ASCAP’s Young Composers competitions and has been a finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest and International Songwriting Contest multiple times. She studied composition with Samuel Adler and Pulitzer Prize/Grammy winner Christopher Rouse and started forging her own path toward electronic music while studying with multi-instrumentalist / composer Elliott Sharp, blending electro-acoustic elements and vocals with classical instrumentation. Her concert pieces include orchestra, brass quintet, percussion quartet, women’s choir, symphonic band, and electric violin and tape.
