Sound as a creative medium aims to enhance storytelling whether the script is to be portrayed through film, television or a video installation. Personally, sound design’s purpose is to articulate the nuance and contours inherent to the script, also serving as a psychological path to the realms of simultaneity and continuity. The aforementioned components are ultimately integrated at the post production stage. Sound design’s tenet is to establish hierarchy of the various soundtrack elements running concomitantly in order to heighten emotionality.
