About Nikola Simikic

Technical Bio:
Post production sound editor, designer and mixer for film, TV, commercial and web based content. Based in Los Angeles. Nine years sound editorial/post production experience; ten years with Pro Tools. Experienced in all aspects of post production sound, and has edited, designed and mixed on a range of projects, including television shows and nationally aired commercials, indie narrative features and documentaries, virtual reality and immersive content and much more. Working knowledge of Dante and Dolby Atmos systems and software. Has been nominated for a Golden Reel for Chef’s Table in Best Sound Editing in a Documentary – Short Form.

Personal Bio:
Nikola has always had a keen sense and awareness of sound. His opera singer mother trained his ear from a young age which led him to an early music-centric life, from singing in an internationally regarded children’s chorus and the Los Angeles Opera, to starting punk rock bands in high school and playing Warped Tour. His second love was movies, and through deep cuts of DVD special features discovered the world of sound design and became completely obsessed. He enrolled in an audio engineering school specifically for post production sound, and has dedicated himself to making sound design his life.
