Renata Schmult is a talented sound designer, re-recording mixer, and SFX editor at the University of Michigan’s Performing Arts Technology Department, where she has a concentration in film audio. Currently, she is an audio assistant at U of M’s audio studios in the Duderstadt Center, and this summer she gained invaluable experience as the post production intern at Fremantle and Original Productions’ post production house.
Renata has worked as the supervising sound editor, sound designer, and re-recording mixer on several award-winning film and television projects, including On Gallows Hill, We’re Not The Same, and Effervescence. As an avid field recordist, she’s always out capturing new sounds to grow her personal sound libraries for future projects. Renata loves using her creativity to craft new sonic worlds and is extremely passionate about using sound to tell incredible stories
