About SiHyun Uhm

SiHyun Uhm is attending Eastman School of Music in NY, studying with David Liptak and Vincent Lenti. She is graduated from Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Massachusetts, studied composition with Whitman Brown, piano with Mana Tokuno from New England Conservatory. SiHyun was born in Seoul, Korea, where she went to Yewon School. She is one of the most aspiring composer and pianist in 2018 and her career as a composer has been recognized by audiences as she has won many renowned competitions and performed in wonderful concert halls around the world.

She is the fellow composer from Intimacy of Creativity and has been awarded from NY Composers’ Circle, ASCAP, Next Notes, National YoungArts, Golden Key Festival, Avalon Competition, MTNA, and CBS National Youth Competition. She was featured in a magazine ‘International Piano’ and her music have been played on several radio stations in Europe and USA. Also, her career as a conductor and pianist has been recognized by winning several Choir Competitions as a conductor, Quincy Symphony Orchestra, Music World Competition, and professionally accompanying wonderful soloists, as a pianist.

She is currently active as a composer, pianist, and a producer, as well as a multi-media composer as she composes for films, commercials, and films. Her distinctive and interactive musical style stands out to the crowds, and her music is getting listened by more and more audiences as her first album was released in 2017. She always endeavors to write music that connects audiences with herself as way of communication. She has performed in Graz Hall in Vienna, Walnut Hill Award Ceremony, Prokofiev Piano Concerto No. 2 with QSO, Rockport Concert, CCPA Concert, NEC Contemporary Festival, Juventas New Music Ensemble, Houston Museum District, Hatch Hall, Solo Recital in Perigee Hall, and more.
