About Valeria Elias

I’m a 27-year-old sound designer from Peru, passionate about storytelling through sound. I began my professional journey in 2019 while studying for my bachelor’s degree in Communications and Media. During that time, one of my most inspiring professors—who leads Peru’s top studio for film sound design and mixing—invited me to join her team.
Since then, I’ve worked on over 20 film projects across different genres and formats, where I’ve designed sound effects, created immersive atmospheres, edited dialogue, and mixed at a high professional level.
In addition to my work in the industry, since 2021 I’ve been teaching Audio Techniques and Sound Post-Production Workshop at two of the most prestigious audiovisual faculties in Peru. Teaching has allowed me to connect with new generations of creators and to share not only technical skills, but also a deep appreciation for the creative potential of sound.
