About
Sound designer | The Auditory Service | NetherlandsI specialise in story telling through sound for linear and interactive projects.
Ever since starting out, I’ve always recorded my own sounds, helping me sculpt
my ‘own sound’ for experimental works in theatre and art. I’ve created numerous
(site specific) soundwalks, sound art installations and museum audiotours.
This developed further into gaining experience as sound designer for film and television.
Field recording has remained an essential part of my skill set, it allows me to be
a creative contributor in any project, by bringing in unique sounds and experience.
As ‘Frick & Traa’ I release sound libaries, together with sound designer Max Frick.
We are available for specific sound recording sessions in The Netherlands and abroad.
I’m a parttime Sound Design lecturer at the Utrecht School of Arts.

Pro Tools Ultimate 12, Izotope RX
Fieldrecording set:
Sonosax/Sony recorders, Sennheiser/DPA/RODE/JrF microphones.
