Composer | Bending Reed Music | France

Jonathan Galland is a French composer and recipient of international music awards and prizes in more than 20 countries. Galland has composed music for animated shorts, feature Documentary, Advertising, Public Service Announcement (PSA), and stage / theater production. His music has been featured on internet radios, trade publications, and discussed on various film music blogs and podcasts.

Classically trained from a young age as a violinist and through the French music schools, Galland later found his calling in the field of music composition for motion pictures. He earned both a BFA and MFA in Music Production and Sound Design for Visual Media, with an emphasis on Film Scoring at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California.

Galland is a member of the Recording Academy (NARAS) and is approved to submit work for Academy Award consideration. Galland is also a voting member on the panel of the 2021 World Soundtrack Awards in Belgium and has also been a member of the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, where he has served numerous times as a judge at the prestigious JUNO Awards.
