About Jonathan Russell

Jonathan David Russell is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist, film composer and songwriter. Before Jonathan turned thirteen, he had already caught the eyes of jazz musicians Wynton Marsalis, Bucky Pizarelli and the late Les Paul. Jonathan has also gained recognition at jazz festivals in Hungary as well as across the United States. While studying at NYU Steinhardt, Jonathan worked on several international ad campaigns as part of Human. In his film scoring work, he has worked both individually on a number of independent films as well as working with Wayne Sharp on the film Aarakshan.
