About Márcio Echeverria

I am a musician based in Barcelona and I work with composition for visual media, music production, arrangements, performance and teaching. I have a BA degree in composition from the Federal University of Santa Maria and a Master degree in Film Scoring from ESMUC (Catalonia School of Music).

One of the things I’m most happy about in composition is discovering the sound identity of an image. Besides being a challenge, it makes the musical result immensely more interesting. The music-image synchrony suggests to me silences, sudden changes in character and unexpected combinations of styles, which in addition to serving the narrative itself, also please the most demanding listeners.

I have experience as composer and sound designer in various audiovisual formats such as documentaries, short movies, advertising, games and political campaigns.
In jazz/latin/rock/pop I stand out as an arranger, pianist/keyboard player, producer and sound engineer.
