About Solomon Kimrey

Give me emotion and I’ll give you sound

I have recorded a number of my own albums, played with bands, and collaborated with visual artists, filmmakers, and content creators to score their work. I play bass, guitar, viola, flute, keys, drums, banjo, and ukulele. I work in Reaper but am also well versed in Ableton.

I specialize in setting a stage. As Debussy said, music is the space between the notes. Instead of filling the volume of my container, I believe in the power of suggestion. I aim to create an atmosphere which will foster someone’s own meaning rather than impose my own.
