About Dave Norton
Sound designer | UKDave Norton is a Manchester based Sound Designer & Sound Engineer with experience in Sound Design for Theatre, Installation & for Video. He is also experienced in Audio Design and Implementation for Game Audio.
Dave has worked with Sound for 9 years, having studied for a BA (Hons) in Performance Design and Management, gaining a 2:1 degree. He has been a Theatre Sound Technician since graduating and has worked his way to Senior Sound Technician at the Royal Exchange Theatre, in the heart of Manchester, a place of work and inspiration for the last 6 years. During his time he has designed sound for a range of projects, including theatre shows, installations, and one off exhibition pieces.
He has a keen interest in recording sound and creating effects from nothing but their constituent parts and is keeping a keen ear out for the development of procedural audio techniques.
His studies have taken him into Game Audio, where he has a Professional Diploma from Futureworks, one of the country\’s leading multimedia training facilities.
