About Melih Sarigol
Sound designer | GermanyMelih Sarıgöl (b. 1980, Istanbul) is a Berlin-based sound designer and experimental electronic musician specializing in film sound. Active in the field since 2013, his work has been featured in films screened at festivals such as Rencontres Internationales Paris, Berlinale, Oberhausen, Istanbul, Tokyo and Antalya.
With a background in mechanical engineering and an MSc in Acoustics, Melih combines technical expertise with artistic innovation. Using modular synthesis, field recordings, and DIY instruments, he creates immersive sonic landscapes that explore themes like ecology, gentrification, and social transformation.
