About Melvin Rijlaarsdam

I’m Melvin Rijlaarsdam, a composer & sound designer based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I am specialized in electronic music and both analog and digital synthesis techniques which comes in handy for both my film scoring work as well as my sound design work.

Creating organic, living and breathing sounds is my passion. Even if those sounds are made entirely by electronic means. A film truly starts to feel alive once all sounds are added in together with the musical score. It is my job to create a world that is believable and immersive at the same time.
