About Zander HulmeSound designer | Zander Hulme Music | Australia
Zander Hulme makes music and other noises for video games. Currently he’s resident audio nerd at GameSpace in Brisbane, where he does freelance work for Australian and international indie game developers.
His work in animated films has won awards and screened at renowned international festivals including Festival de Cannes and Bristol Encounters Short Film Festival.
Whilst working full-time as a game audio freelancer on indie games such as Sling Kong and Steppy Pants, he is also finishing a Master’s degree, researching new ways to implement adaptive game music – he has given talks about his research at industry events, and his findings will be published in academic journals and at conferences later this year.
Zander is a multi-instrumentalist with an eclectic taste and a talent for catchy, melody-driven themes. Equally at ease sequencing an 8-bit ditty or arranging parts for a chamber orchestra. Thanks to his particular passion for adaptive game audio, he loves to write dynamic scores which respond to the player in unique ways, immersing them in the game world.
