We’re looking for a Sound Design Intern to join our team and help us deliver our next incredible experience for players. We are only considering students who will be enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in the summer of 2026 and are slated to graduate no earlier than December 2026.
What You’ll Do…- Collaborate closely with the Audio Director and Sound team to design and edit high-quality audio for in-game assets.
- Implement and integrate your sounds into the game using Unreal Engine and Wwise, ensuring seamless audio experiences.
- Organize, spot, and assist with foley recording sessions for cinematic sequences
- Support the team with bug fixes, audio troubleshooting, and quality assurance testing.
- Participate in meetings and contribute innovative ideas to the game.
- You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree granting program in a related field with an expected graduation date no earlier than December 2026.
- Proficient in designing and editing sounds in a DAW, with experience in Reaper preferred but not required
- Familiarity with audio middleware and game engine scripting, with experience using Wwise and Unreal Engine preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a passion for creating immersive audio experiences.
- Showcase personal or school projects that are relevant to this internship.
- Ideally, the reel should feature game audio projects; however, audio work for linear media (such as films or trailers) is also acceptable.
- When including group projects, be sure to clearly outline your individual role and contributions.
- Do not include music-focused work, as this internship does not involve music production.
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. Please note: this program is a mentorship program and is not tied to any hiring process.From January to May 2026, selected mentees will work on a project based on a given theme. - Experience with Windows and/or macOS, familiarity with
productivity software such as word processors and spreadsheets.
- Audio recording, design, processing and mixing skills.
- A demo reel showcasing your most outstanding accomplishments in sound design. Isolated sound design is ideal. Document what you contributed to any collaborative examples. No music is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Good work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Having shipped at least one game.
- Familiarity with multi-channel / surround sound / 3D spatial audio mixing is a plus.
- Game development, scripting and/or programming skills are a plus.
