We are developing A Cat’s Manor, a story-rich 2.5D adventure game set in a mysterious manor, where players embody a cat with a hand for a tail. The game blends surreal imagery, atmosphere, and narrative-driven exploration into a unique interactive experience. The game’s art direction is well-established with an art style that uses 2D art for environments, and stylized low-poly 3D models for characters. Created in Unity, the game is targeting release on PC and PlayStation platforms in mid-2027.
The RoleWe’re looking for a talented Sound Designer to create and implement high-quality audio for characters, environments, UI, and gameplay. Working closely with the creative lead, you’ll review and remaster existing assets, ensure consistent quality and spatially layered SFX, and help establish an efficient Unity audio pipeline. The role requires a self-driven, feedback-ready designer with experience shipping at least one indie game within a comparable genre or setting, creating original sounds, and implementing audio in-engine using FMOD. The Sound Designer will define the audio personality of the game — from environmental presence to combat feedback to subtle narrative cues and atmospheric ambience. They are responsible for shaping a world that players feel through sound.
Responsibilities- Design and implement high-quality sound effects for characters, environments, UI, and gameplay events.
- Review, organise, and remaster existing audio assets—SFX and music—ensuring consistent quality, proper spatial layering, legal use, and effective reuse of high-quality samples.
- Collaborate with the creative lead for a cohesive audio direction.
- Establish our audio pipeline for integrating and optimizing audio from FMOD to Unity using industry best practices.
- Proven industry experience with at least one shipped indie game title on PC/console, preferably in a comparable genre and setting.
- Experience with FMOD is required.
- Experience working in Unity game engine to implement audio, configure files and link up data is required.
- Creative sound designer with an eye (or ear!) for atmosphere.
- Experience creating original sounds for game titles.
- Self-driven and able to work with minimal guidance.
- Receptive to feedback and iteration.
- Portfolio/reel demonstrating range and quality.
Please send an email with your resume, portfolio and relevant experience. Include “Sound Designer” in the subject line.

Help our little protagonist make sense of the manor’s many strange rooms and use of it’s strange contents.

- Champion the right track, right moment across Canva surfaces—partner with designers in planning and turn briefs into clear, usable shortlists.
- Curate and maintain golden sets with simple accept/reject principles and negatives that teams can apply consistently.

- You can define principles, golden sets, and negatives that make selection consistent and scalable.

- You consult across teams—facilitating rubrics, quality reviews, and short trainings that level up non-experts.
You’ll join Content Studio → Elements, specializing in Audio. We partner closely with template designers and adjacent product teams to make sure creators find the right sound quickly—every time.
