The PositionAs an Audio Composer, you will design and implement a rich and immersive soundscape that includes original music, sound effects, and ambient audio. Collaborating closely with the Narrative Director and Design Team, you’ll ensure the audio elements support gameplay mechanics, enhance storytelling, and elevate the player’s emotional experience.
Key Responsibilities- Compose and produce original music that aligns with the game’s tone, narrative, and setting.
- Design and implement sound effects that enhance gameplay, character actions, and environmental interactions.
- Create ambient audio to bring game environments to life and deepen immersion.
- Collaborate with the Design and Narrative teams to align audio with story beats, gameplay pacing, and emotional arcs.
- Integrate audio assets into Unreal Engine, ensuring proper implementation and optimization.
- Mix and master audio tracks for consistent quality and performance.
- Develop and maintain an audio style guide to ensure consistency across all sound elements.
- Troubleshoot and refine audio assets based on team feedback and playtesting.
- Proven experience as an Audio Composer in the gaming industry, with a strong portfolio showcasing music and sound design.
- Proficiency in audio production tools such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Reaper, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with implementing audio in Unreal Engine, including the use of audio cues and Blueprints.

As a Technical Audio Designer, you will have sole responsibility for the creation and implementation of all the audio in an exciting new project – driving the audio identity of our new ‘ultra satisfying’ IP. Your goal will be to help the team deliver a charming, warm and satisfying experience – with SFX that tickles the brain and feels ‘just right’.
This will involve taking creative direction from the Game Director and technical direction from the Lead Programmer, using your both your strong technical ability and creative sensibility to understand, define, track, deliver and implement audio across the game.
You will intimately learn and understand the creative vision of the project, its mechanical documentation, how we work across Unity/FMOD and be confident and effective having sole responsibility for delivering the game’s audio to spec and on time.
Please note that we are only able to employ those who are both a UK resident and/or have a valid UK work permit.
Essential- Strong FMOD Experience
- Optimised event and parameter design based on audio event trigger/parameter modulation requirements
- Considered event grouping and mix bus routing for audio quality and accessibility
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical audio problems
- Ensuring memory/performance requirements are met when producing audio assets and behaviours using FMOD debug tooling
- Comfortable working as the ‘sole audio professional’ within the development team – bringing both technical audio expertise and the ability to translate both technical and creative direction into high quality and tonally appropriate SFX and Ambience.
- Strong creative instincts across a range of genres and tones, with an established portfolio that includes references to the brief you were given and the corresponding work you delivered. An ability to go beyond the brief, challenging your direction to arrive at the core of what will be needed to deliver the most satisfying experience to players.
