Audio Producer

Job description

Arkane is looking for a world class Audio Producer/ Director to organize, distribute and follow-up the audio work. The position is based in Lyon, France.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the production and implementation of all audio aspects (sound effects, music, voices) from design intentions to final integration
• Plan and organize the work of the internal audio team and audio outsourcers (script writers, sound designers and integrators, music composer, voice recording studio, etc.)
• Work with designers to identify the audio needs and manage their production and implementation
• Identify the technical needs for the audio team and coordinate with programmers for their implementation in the audio pipeline, including debugging and optimization
• Organize the creation and handles directly the full integration of the speeches into the game, from the preparation of the scripts, recording of temporary and final quality voices to final mix and integration into the game
• Provide visibility for the team on the progress of the audio deliverables
• Ensure that the audio team has the support required (tools, documentation, equipment, etc) to work efficiently

Qualifications:
• Fluent in French and in English
• Leadership
• Time and priority management skills
• Excellent knowledge of audio middleware and tools like Reaper, Audiokinetic, Wwise…
• Database knowledge (Perforce, tasks and bug tracking tools etc.)
• Excellent musical knowledge and culture

Desired Skills:
• Substantial working experience in audio for video games, including on consoles
• Good handling and experience of audio tools for video game
• Capable of identifying and supporting gameplay needs and constraints within a game level
• Capable of working with high technical constraints
• Must be a self-motivated and energetic team player with a very strong work ethic and cooperative attitude

Audio Integrators

Responsibilities:
• Develop audio integration tools with the help of an audio programmer
• Test the tools and validate their functionality
• Integrate the ambiance zones and the audio occlusion environments
• Assign different «triggers» in the audio entertainment and scripted events
• Integrate music and voices
• Prepare the audio environment for the sound designers
• Regularly test the audio integration and be responsible for assigning audio problems to the correct people

Qualifications:
• Minimum of one (1) video game project completed as sound designer or audio integrator

Senior Producer, Cinematics sound

Job description

Blizzard Entertainment’s cinematic sound department is seeking a talented senior producer with post production experience to provide support for multiple Blizzard Entertainment franchises. As a member of the cinematic audio production team you will have an array of responsibilities spawning across multiple projects and disciplines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in audio, music, and video post-production pipelines as well as project and organizational management. The position will work closely with the senior cinematic audio producer to interface with picture editors, cinematic directors, producers, and sound supervisors, to support a variety of content for varying projects that includes promotional media, web videos, trailers, logos, inward-facing content, etc. Excellent written and verbal communications skills, in addition to solid interpersonal skills as you must be able to interact well with other departments and a multitude of clients.

Interested candidates should be comfortable working under tight deadlines, have excellent organizational and time management skills, is comfortable taking direction and criticism, is easily adaptable to shifting priorities, and is able to work with equal effectiveness, both solo and as part of a project team.

Responsibilities:
• Take ownership for sound projects in support of cinematics and media, seeing them successfully through production
• Coordinate, track, and manage project resources to ensure projects are completed on schedule and are of top quality
• Facilitate communications with other producers, sound designers, voice directors, composers, audio / video technicians and stakeholders from other teams
• Source, vet, and manage relationships with external vendors as appropriate in support of audio development
• Manage budget planning as well as execution to budget
• Take responsibility for finding appropriate solutions to problems and challenges as they arise within the group
• Maintain clear notes in meetings / reviews to send out immediately after and depicts clear action items
• Contribute to a positive and constructive work environment

Qualifications:
• A minimum of 6 years’ industry experience in a video game or post production setting with a minimum of 3 AAA shipped titles or equivalent film / television credits
• Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Project
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies
• Experience owning and managing budgets
• Experience in managing large quantities of assets and complex project schedules
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Able to work well with others in a diverse and fast-paced environment
• Experience facilitating teams and delivering products on time
• Able to facilitate and mediate between members of the development and support teams
• Strong ownership and responsibility for the work they are responsible for
• Unrelenting self-motivation and initiative

Sound Design Intern

As a Sound Design Intern, you will work directly with a professional team of veterans and will have the opportunity to contribute to our studios and development partners who are responsible for creating some of the most recognizable and ambitious titles of recent years. You have the ability to learn new techniques from the team and will be given hands on experience in creating, editing, formatting and recording various sounds to use on PlayStation game platforms. Assist with all aspects of audio implementation on PlayStation® game platform.

Responsibilities:
• Assist Sound Designers in field recording and in the recording studios (VO, Mix, and Foley Studios)
• Edit Dialogue
• Edit SFX and update the SFX Library
• Reformat dialog scripts to reflect game design changes and update docs for localization team

Qualifications:
• Experience with audio tools such as ProTools, Peak, Sound Forge, Adobe Audition, Wave Lab
• Experience with MS Office tools, Mac and PC computer platforms are a must
• Experience recording audio and/or music
• Candidate must be able to take ownership of a task and report progress or problems to their supervisor in a timely and clear manner
• Gaming engine experience a plus, such as Unity or Unreal
