We are seeking a highly creative and skilled Sound Designer (Senior to Principal) to join our team at Gravity Well. This full-time role will focus on asset creation and implementation using Unreal & Wwise. You will design sounds for a wide range of characters, environments, weapons and abilities; author them in Wwise and work with our Technical Sound Designer to implement them and achieve the most immersive experience for our players.
What You’ll Do:- Collaborate closely with the Audio Director to determine scope of work, planning and execution of sound design creation and implementation.
- Design, record, edit, and integrate world -class sound effects, ambience using DAWs (of preference) and middleware (Wwise).
- Preparing and testing for implementation accuracy, as well as collaborating with internal and external team members to address bugs and optimize sounds in the product.
- Communicate effectively with technical teams and software developers to ensure seamless and efficient sound implementation.
- Work closely with design, engineering, and animation teams to meet creative and technical goals.
- Troubleshoot audio issues, manage performance, and ensure high-quality, efficient audio integration.

The base pay for this role is:
- Senior Audio Designer: $125,000 to $175,000 USD per year
- Principal Audio Designer: $175,000 to $200,000 per year;
(or equivalent in your local currency). We pay fairly across our global team regardless of your location but it will differ based on factors such as experience, qualifications etc.

Icefall Interactive is looking for a creative and talented Lead to join our team. We are deeply passionate about audio, from sound effects, to speech, to music, and we know how such a small piece of the overall effort can have such a dramatic impact on the ability for our games to stir your soul.
The role we are seeking to fill is a lead position on a space combat game. This project has recently started, and you will be the first audio hire for the project. You will work with the other project and studio leadership to establish the audio vision, build the team, and deliver a fantastic finished project.
Responsibilities- Establish and communicate the audio vision, in conjunction with the Game Director
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the project’s audio team
- Ensure that the vision for the project is being met
- Be hands-on and involved with audio feature design, content creation, and implementation
- Work with audio programmers to realize the audio features needed for the project
- Submit final audio files on or before required deadlines
- Do quality control review for the project’s audio (pre-CQC) on all applicable platforms
- Inspire and support team members, and accept personal responsibility for the project deliverables
- Monitor deliverable progress, manage assigned scope and requested changes, meet commitments, follow up, and be on time
- Worked on at least three large scale, cross platform titles
- Shipped a game project from start to finish as an Audio Lead or equivalent
- Strong sound design and implementation skills
- Experience handling speech end-to-end on a video game project, including everything from ensuring all writing is taking place, working with a database to track files, attending and directing English VO sessions, plus working with external localization parties on submitting content for translation and dealing with recorded assets in other languages
- Experience using Fmod
- Completely comfortable with modern audio gear, software, and recording techniques, with a high level of proficiency in at least one DAW

- Be nimble in switching from one type of project to another on a daily basis
