Welcome to a new Audio Jobs Special, this time focusing on remote audio jobs. Relocating for audio opportunities is not always an option (or, with the current instability in game audio job security, something you'd want to do) – so I did some further digging to find new and open jobs that are remote – either 100% remote or can be carried out anywhere in the specific country. Heads up: Some of them I’ve previously shared, but since they’re still available, I figured you wanted to know about them – and four of them come with a caveat; those are at the bottom of the list.

  • Disney is hiring a Senior Sound Designer for an ambitious new project, and is after an imaginative audio creator with strong game development skills (United States)
  • CI Games is looking for an Audio Director on a six-month freelance contract – and it's one of very few senior game audio roles that's open worldwide, rather than tied to a country
  • SPAU / Spectral Audio is searching for a Sound Engineer, Audio Post Production for an ongoing audio storytelling project – and it's a long-term engagement, not a one-off (Remote)

We also found a number of additional audio jobs for you – here are the direct links:

Remote, with a caveat

These four say remote too, and they’re all open – but there’s something you should know about each one first:

  • Wwise Audio Engineer at Crytivo (Remote)
The studio says you can work remotely or from the Texas office depending on the role – but the posting doesn’t say which this is.
  • Freelance Audio Engineer at Quinn (United States) / Remote
A real audio engineering job, and clearly remote – just be aware that the product is an audio erotica app.
  • Sound Programmer at Saber Interactive (Remote)
The posting doesn’t give a location at all, and lists remote work under the perks rather than saying the role is remote.
  • Music Supervisor at DAYDREAM (Munich, Germany)
Based in Munich with remote as an option, rather than a remote role from the start.

Bonus: The Audio Jobs Facebook and LinkedIn groups also have a huge range of audio job opportunities.

Happy job hunting! Best wishes from Asbjoern and Adriane.

Highlight – sound stories this week:

Senior Sound Designer

Job description

CI Games is hiring an Audio Director on a six-month freelance contract – and it's one of very few senior game audio roles that's open worldwide, rather than tied to a country. Sound Engineer, Audio Post Production
Company: SPAU / Spectral Audio
Location: Remote
Job description

SPAU / Spectral Audio is hiring a Sound Engineer, Audio Post Production for an ongoing audio storytelling project – and it's a long-term engagement, not a one-off. You'll handle dialogue editing and cleanup, SFX and Foley design, ambience and music placement + the mix and master for episodic content. Any professional DAW works, though they prefer Pro Tools – and since it's fully remote, you'll need a monitoring or headphone setup you trust.
