About the role…
  • You will provide vision for and evolve existing vision for the overall audio development of the game including in-game sound design, dialogue/VO, cinematics, music, etc.
  • Partner closely with audio team members and other vision holders across development to ensure high quality audio that elevates and serves the overall vision for the game.
  • Provide direction for and collaborate on processes involving casting, VO, and music composition.
  • Conceptualize and iterate on innovative audio features, concepts, and best practices to support exceptional audio design and implementation across the project.

Our most recent title, God of War: Ragnarök (2022), has since continued this run of commercial and critical success.

  • Support audio needs for game design, cinematics, marketing materials, etc.
  • Work within the set standard for all sound asset implementation (environmental, character and music) within the production path, as it relates to design, art and otherwise
  • Collaborate creatively on sound implementation to enhance the gameplay experience
  • Work with sound designers, artists, programmers, technical sound designers and other teams to accomplish audio consistency and quality
  • Consistently evaluate the audio for the design assets being created for all of the levels and characters you are responsible for
  • Address all issues and assist with fixing audio related problems within levels or characters you are responsible for as they arise
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited institution, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree majoring in a related field
  • Projected to graduate between December 2023 – June 2025
  • Must be available to work for 12 weeks from May – August or June – September

  • Sound design from the ground up, including rendering and specifying all audio in animations, creating sound event specifications and designing audio with and without picture
  • Trouble-shoot and fix bugs related to sound effects
  • Receive and apply feedback provided by team members

Required Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 3 years or equivalent audio production experience
  • 5+ years of game audio experience
