Technical Audio Designer

Job Description:
  • Implement audio assets within Audiokinetic's Wwise and Unity

  • Manage Wwise project organization, structures, gameplay parameter setups, and performance memory optimization.

  • Work alongside programmers and other members of the audio department to build and maintain the interactive audio playback systems based on creative vision and gameplay needs.

  • Collaborate with other disciplines (art, design and QA) to ensure audio systems are incorporated into all aspects of gameplay.

  • Support the audio vision of the game in collaboration with the Audio Department Lead and Lead Audio Designer

  • Apply best practices of technical audio workflows and systems

  • Troubleshoot and debug audio tools, systems and functionality, and fix audio bugs that are reported by the QA Team.

Skills & Requirements
  • Demonstrate experience in interactive audio system design and maintenance (games, installations, etc.)

  • Shipped at least one game, indie or otherwise

  • Skilled with Audiokinetic's Wwise (Wwise 201 Certification or equivalent experience)

  • Experience with Wwise and Unity Integration

  • Some C# scripting experience

  • Experience implementing audio in Unity

  • Understanding of the technical audio constraints for the game development across different platforms

  • Experience using version control software: p4v, SVN, SourceTree etc.

  • Wwise 251 Certification (or above) and/or equivalent experience is a plus

  • Experience working in Unreal Engine

  • Shipping 1+ mobile game(s) is a plus.

Senior Sound Designer

Senior Sound Designer creates audio content for the title that complement and enhance player experience. The Sound Designer composes, records, and synchronizes sound effects to amplify all sorts of in-game events.

  • Producing high quality audio assets and features.
  • Working with voice overs following the whole pipeline from pre-production through recording and editing samples to in-game configuration.

Invoke is looking for an Audio Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will support and collaborate with the audio team to identify their needs and provide them with tools and pipelines to implement their vision. Your role will have a direct impact on the audio fidelity of our game, and you will have the opportunity to push the boundaries of game audio.

What you'll do
  • Work closely with the Audio Director and designers to identify their needs and productivity bottlenecks;
  • Maintain and complement our Wwise integration in Unreal Engine 5;
  • Suggest improvements to the existing engine and data pipeline to improve the audio production quality and the team's iteration times;
  • Profile the game, identify and fix performance problems.
What you'll bring
  • 3+ years working on game engines, with an interest in audio systems, debugging and optimization;
  • Excellent C++ skills;
  • Strong multi-threading programming skills
  • Knowledge of ECS architecture within Game Engines;
  • Modular and maintenance-oriented implementation approach;
  • Initiative to push boundaries and a strong desire to build something outstanding;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine and Wwise is a plus.
