We’re an experienced team who are having a lot of fun working on our indie game, Luma Island.

Luma Island was released in November 2024 and has sold over 500,000 copies so far. We’re now busy working on a free expansion for the game and are looking for a new lead sound designer to complement our super-talented team.

You will be responsible for designing new sounds and integrating them in Unity via Wwise. Although you will be taking over an existing Wwise project (and its Unity integration) for Luma Island, you will get the opportunity to make your mark on future expansions, as well as on our future games.

You are an expert at:
  • Designing awesome sounds and integrating them in Unity via Wwise.
  • Matching new sounds to the style of an existing game.
  • Working in an iterative environment at a fast pace.
We will only consider applicants with:
  • A proven track-record of contributions to at least 1-2 released desktop PC or console games.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • A place of residence max +/-2 hours from Central European Time.
Bonus points:
  • A university/academic degree in sound design.
  • Experience in working with multiplayer games.
  • Experience in working with console development (PS, Xbox, Switch).
  • A love of gaming. �

Wargaming is looking for a Composer to work on World of Warships Franchise in our Belgrade office. The Sound Design Department is responsible for creating music, sound effects, and audio atmospheres for game projects.

The Team strives to work closely with all departments, including the visual and technical departments, and constantly keeps an eye on new technologies and tools in sound design to ensure the best possible sound quality.

What will you do?
  • Compose, arrange, and produce original music that aligns with the themes and style of our games
  • Create adaptive and interactive music systems using middleware
  • Develop sound effects and musical elements that enhance gameplay and provide clarity to game mechanics
  • Collaborate with artists, programmers, and game designers to ensure a cohesive audiovisual experience
  • Direct and organize recording sessions with live musicians when needed
  • Mix and master audio to ensure it translates well across various playback systems
  • Iterate on compositions based on feedback, adapting to creative direction and project scope changes- Maintain and contribute to the internal music and sound asset library
What are we looking for?
  • 3+ years of experience in music composition for video games, film, or television
  • Strong musical ear and attention to detail in composition, arrangement, and production
  • Proven ability to create memorable, emotional, and thematically appropriate music
  • Proficiency in multiple DAWs (Ableton, Logic Pro, Reaper, or equivalent)
  • Experience working with MIDI composition, sample libraries, and synthesis
  • Strong knowledge of orchestration, harmony, and music theory

WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

An experienced and detail-oriented Sound Designer to join our audio team that will be responsible for creating and implementing high-quality sound design, refining audio systems, and to bring the vision of an ambitious sci-fi MMORPG to life.

In this role you will:
  • Design, create, and integrate high-end interactive sound in audio middleware and Unreal Engine 5.
  • Collaborate with the Audio Lead to refine and execute the creative vision for the audio team.
  • Work closely with audio team members and other disciplines.
  • Mix and master audio assets and systems.
  • Record, edit, and prepare source material, including field recording sessions.
  • Edit, mix and implement VO in engine.
  • Work on interactive music systems.
  • Take ownership of key audio elements.
Skills and experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in AA/AAA game sound design.
  • Experience working through the full production cycle of a game in a sound design role.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Broad proficiency in DAWs, such as Reaper, Cubase and Pro Tools, as well as sample editors and plug-ins.
  • Understanding of audio signal processing, such as mixing, compression, filters, reverb, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with audio middleware such as FMOD, Wwise, or similar tools.
  • Broad experience in all areas of game audio production, including audio content, technical audio, VO and audio production pipelines.
  • Experience with scripting and/or visual scripting for audio implementation.
  • Proficient in game engines such as Unreal Engine, Unity, or equivalent.
  • Humility & teamwork: you know when to ask for help and are eager to support your teammates.
  • Drive to execute: projects you’ve worked on, whether professional or hobbyist, were completed properly.
  • Portfolio required, showcasing relevant work and expertise.
Bonus skills:

WHAT WE OFFER

Salary offered is based on numerous factors such as education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills and organizational needs.

  • Initial contract duration of 1 year (40 hours per week).
  • Yearly full-time gross salary of € 48k
  • € 63k (including 8% holiday bonus).- Base gross salary + 10% annuity pay (monthly).
  • Travel cost compensation (100% of NS train journey or € 0,23 per km of car journey).
