Are you passionate about creating immersive audio for video games? Insomniac Games is seeking an Audio Design Intern who is eager to learn all aspects of game audio production. If you’re interested in pursuing a career in game audio and want to develop your skills in sound design, editing, implementation, and fine-tuning audio during the development process, this is the opportunity for you!
What You’ll Be Doing:- Design and create sound effects.
- Assist with dialogue editing, processing, and stub dialogue recording.
- Prepare audio materials for use in games, including mapping sound effects and attaching them to animations using proprietary tools.
- Script sound effects in Wwise and other internal tools.
- Work closely with senior members of the Audio team, receiving mentorship and guidance throughout the internship.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university, pursuing an Undergraduate degree in Audio Production, Recording, or Engineering (preferably in the game development field)
- Projected to graduate by Spring 2026.
- Passionate about video games and have a solid understanding of what makes them engaging and fun.
- Knowledge of audio production, editing, and mastering is required, along with familiarity with software like Pro Tools or Sound Forge.
