We are No Brakes Games, a talented team of indie developers passionate about creating quality games. We are seeking a Lead Audio Designer to join our team working on Human Fall Flat 2.

Responsibilities:
  • Ownership of all audio in the game.
  • Oversee the entire audio pipeline for sound design and music implementation in the game. (Music composition is not part of this role but experience with video game music is a bonus)
  • Work closely with our Audio team, game director and discipline leads to ensure that direction and quality are cohesive.
  • Assess the audio requirements, create and implement necessary sounds.
  • Record and design SFX to a high industry standard.
  • Technical implementation of audio assets in FMOD and Unity.
  • Collaborate with programmers and designers to design and manage audio tech and systems.
  • Collaborate with production to create realistic schedules and identify dependencies.
  • Collaborate with the Music Composer(s) to implement music, and ensure that the music and SFX compliment one another.
  • Mix and master audio assets and the whole audio experience in FMOD.
Requirements:

We are seeking a Producer to work on our next AAA title. You will work closely with our Audio and Narrative teams. Help facilitate communication, support development efforts and help resolve roadblocks not only when they come to your attention, but before they become a reality. Responsibilities
  • Work with the Audio and Narrative departments on a daily basis
  • Curate and maintain game documentation
  • Take initiative to identify problems, establish facts, and propose solutions
  • Gather estimates and work with developers to evaluate feature complexity and risk
  • Maintain close communication with department leads
  • Balance day to day maintenance with long-term planning; need to recognize that production is not all about fighting fires
  • Establish and communicate production estimates, including estimates for when targets will be hit

Requirements
  • 3+ years experience in the games industry

Senior Sound Designer
Company: 10 Chambers
Location: Stockholm, Sweden
Job description

10 Chambers is a fully funded scale-up game studio backed by Tencent and based in the beautiful city of Stockholm, Sweden. We are an ambitious, creative, and collaborative team with a lifelong love for games.

We are now working on our next project, a cooperative heist FPS in a sci-fi setting with techno-thriller vibes: Den of Wolves. The game is originated and directed by Ulf Andersson, the game designer of Payday the Heist and PAYDAY 2.

We are looking for a full-time, on-site Senior Sound Designer who is passionate about sound design and sound implementation and has a strong sense of quality.

You will be responsible for all aspects of sound design in our productions: Designing, gathering, editing, processing and mixing sounds, as well as working with programmers to integrate the sound triggering and behavior in our games. You will also put sounds to – and mix – any trailers we create in-house.

You will work closely with other teams to ensure that the audio design lines up with the vision for the game as a whole. You will help create and maintain the sound design visions and systems for Den of Wolves.

What you will do
  • Record, design, edit, process and mix sounds in Reaper for the game, as well as external trailers and other marketing media.
  • Create and implement complex dynamic audio systems in Wwise and Unity using graphs and proprietary in-house tools.
  • Take ownership in ensuring that audio systems, Wwise implementation and optimization meet the technical requirements of the project.
  • Ensure technical optimization and alignment of sound effects with game themes
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to support the game’s overall vision
  • Document, organize and quality-assure sound design and processes
  • Keep the Wwise project and audio libraries organized.
Required qualifications
  • Complete the initial sound test – see instructions under the headline -Essential application details below.
  • 6+ years of experience as a professional game sound designer, working full cycle on at least one FPS and/or 3rd person 3D game with swiveling camera.
  • Have a strong ability to be self-directing, work independently, and adapt to an agreed-upon sound design style.
  • Full proficiency in Reaper.
  • Be proficient in Audiokinetic Wwise and be able to adapt to an established Wwise structure
  • Be collaborative and have a strong ability to communicate with other dev team members.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English (Swedish is not a requirement).
Bonus qualifications
  • Experience with Dolby Atmos and 3D object-based mixing.
  • Experience with sound design on multi-platform title(s).
  • Experience with field recordings.
