Gameloft’s Paris Studio is seeking an experienced Music Composer who has a deep understanding of music composition and production, particularly in the context of video games. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating dynamic, immersive, and memorable music that enhances the player’s experience. - Producing realistic orchestral simulations

YOUR TEAMYou will join the multidisciplinary Audio Design team, currently consisting of 4 passionate employees and several external collaborators. The Audio Design team is responsible for music direction, composition, mixing, sound design, audio programming mandates, as well as participating in various audio innovation projects.
YOUR MISSIONAs a Technical Sound Designer, you will bring your expertise to the development of sound systems for a variety of projects. Your involvement will be particularly significant during the Design and Production phases, where you will help craft the strategy and prepare technical documentation. Additionally, you will be called to participate in site visits and project deliveries, depending on the projects needs.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Reporting to the Music Director and working closely with the technical directors and composers of the projects:
- Participate in the development of the overall sound strategy for the project.
- Analyze and specify the requirements for the audio distribution system.
- Produce equipment lists, wiring diagrams, and location plans.
- Optimize the alignment of sound concepts with the project’s technical and budgetary realities, and help find solutions to challenges and constraints.
- Review and validate the sound design throughout the project.
- Participate in site visits (scouting visits, etc.) and represent the musical creation needs during these visits in the absence of the composer.
- Organize sound tests as needed.
- Produce the final “as-built” documentation at the end of the projects (sound plans, etc.).
- Occasionally and as needed, participate in project installations and integrations on site:
- Supervise the sound installation with the help of local teams.
- Validate the sound installation (positioning, focus, adjustments, etc.) and ensure it aligns with the concept.
- Calibrate the systems.
- Support the creative team in delivering the sound experience.
- Make adjustments/mix and pre-mix of soundtracks and sound effects.
- Complete any other tasks necessary to ensure that the sound experience meets the established MF quality standard.
- Act as the technical sound reference at MF:
- Stay informed about new products and technologies.
- Serve as a consultant and contribute to developing the best tools, processes, and practices in collaboration with relevant stakeholders (Procurement Department, Technical Direction, etc.).
- Help establish a uniform working methodology and documentation.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to identify suitable product lines.
- 7 to 10 years of experience in technical sound design for multimedia environments and/or the event industry, entertainment, performing arts, or any other relevant creative field.
