PlayStation Studios Creative Arts – Music is looking for a Lead Music Designer. In this role, you will support an innovative, award-winning team dedicated to producing top-notch interactive music.
The Lead Music Designer will handle music editing, technical implementation, and music production support for the Creative Arts Music team, working with Sony’s global game development partners and marketing teams.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in music production, audio middleware, and game development workflows, with a focus on audio and music implementation throughout the production process.
Responsibilities:- Music System Design: Influence the overall project strategy related to music system design. Present the vision and progress of the music system design to external and internal leadership teams.
- Music Editing: Edit and create assets that align with the music system design.
- Music Implementation: Direct implementation methods and strategies across multiple projects with music designers at various locations. Participate in discussions and influence music implementation strategies and technology development across PlayStation Studios.
- Asset Management: Develop asset management processes for internal and external teams. Drive fundamental changes in asset management and execution through new technology or processes.

- VO processing: Editing and optimizing voice recordings, adapting them to the game’s requirements, ensuring high quality sound.

Sound Lab a Keywords Studio is looking for a Senior Supervising Sound Designer for our gaming projects. They will work as part of the creative team responsible for crafting interactive audio experiences. Working closely with both internal and external audio team members, this person will be the quality owner overseeing multiple projects and supervising multiple sound design, implementation and music team members . The ideal candidate brings excellent team management skills, experience working with middleware and implementation on multiple shipped titles. This role involves combining a deep understanding of sound design, middleware integration, audio signal flow, creative problem solving and execution in a team-centric environment.
Work Location: Prefer on Location in Burbank, CA, but could be remote for the right candidate.
The day-to-day responsibilities involve:- Key participant in the team leading client presentations and bidding processes
- Audio quality owner over multiple projects
- Able to productively lead a team, organize work flow, delegate tasks and communicate effectively
- Able to both give and take direction and incorporate feedback
- Sound design creation and integration of game ready assets using middleware and custom audio tools
- Design and optimization of in-game interactive audio systems
