What does a Dialogue Designer at CIG do?
  • Manage dialogue requests and maintain all script related documents and their interdepartmental dependencies.
  • Record, edit, name, and master all types of dialogue assets and metadata to a high standard while ensuring consistency is maintained over numerous sessions.
  • Collaborate and manage all forms of dialogue implementation, runtime effects design, and dynamic in-game mixing, ensuring an engaging and immersive dialogue experience.
  • Maintain and drive improvements in all dialogue related pipelines and workflows from pre-production to implementation and QA processes.
  • Report to Dialogue Lead and Production regularly and update all relevant parties with issues or blockers, as well as info-share in your successes and experiences gained.
What do we expect from our Dialogue Designers?
  • Proficiency in production sound, especially with performance capture or film where timecode is required for sync.
  • Solid working experience with spectral dialogue editorial, such as iZotope RX Advanced or other industry equivalents.
  • Working experience and high-level operation of DAWs, such as Pro Tools, Reaper, or other industry standards.
  • Capability with audio middleware such as Wwise, or game engines such as Lumberyard is encouraged.
  • Skilled with Excel for file and script management and has an eye for attention to detail.
  • Passion for dialogue in video games or other forms of entertainment.

Job Description

The audio and media operations manager will be responsible for overseeing and scheduling jobs related to audio and media post-production services. Primary responsibility includes managing the production and scheduling of a team that prepares or creates localized media content. Content may be in the form of audio, video, or timed text. This includes Pro Tools audio sessions, video reference content, media packages, and audio archive material. Candidate would have a strong understanding and depth of knowledge of Pro Tools and other multimedia tools. The Production Manager would be working with and supporting all audio types and configurations, including Atmos, 7.1 and 5.1. The job requires the candidate to have an expertise in localized multi-language dubbed audio content. A strong understanding of video types, codecs, timecode formats, frame rates, containers, and various video file types is required. An understanding of subtitles and closed captions is required. Candidate will be required to effectively communicate with clients, employees and management. Along with a perfectionist mindset, the job requires that the candidate is required to have exceptional organizational and time management skills.

The Daily
  • Participate in all parts of the development process from concept through to live-ops

  • Superviser la livraison du produit, tant en interne qu'en externe, conformément au calendrier
  • Aider à la gestion des acteurs vocaux pendant les enregistrements
  • Traiter les tâches administratives liées au processus d'enregistrement
  • Diriger le processus de révision créative et juridique pour les dialogues, si et quand cela est nécessaire
  • Rechercher de nouvelles sociétés de services de voix hors champ dans le monde entier, dans le but d'élargir et de diversifier la réserve de talents pour nos jeux

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the audio manager, and in collaboration with the audio director and other relevant parties involved in the creation of our games, the audio producer’s responsibilities include:

Voice-Over Coordination
  • Coordinating the completion of scripts prior to recording
  • Preparing casting-related documentation with the help of local teams and in-house or freelance writers
  • Contacting casting agencies and/or companies offering voice-over services
  • Ensuring voice-over budget authorization and carrying out administrative follow-up with the legal department
  • Driving the process of actor selection by the relevant stakeholders after casting auditions are completed
  • Supervising delivery of the product, both internally and externally, according to schedule
  • Assisting with the management of voice actors during recordings
  • Handling administrative tasks related to the recording process
  • Driving the creative and legal review process for dialogue, if and when required
  • Conducting research into new voice-over service companies around the world, with the goal of enlarging and diversifying the talent pool for our games
  • Acting as the primary liaison within the audio department for recording studios and different internal departments (production, marketing, legal, etc.)
Audio Department Production Support
  • Establishing and maintaining the timeline and milestone calendar for each project in development and liaising with the project-side producers
  • Publishing and maintaining the update calendar for live games
  • Taking ownership of the audio software, hardware and license purchasing process
  • Taking ownership of the “Audio” section of the game credits for all projects
  • Managing employee absences and holiday approvals
  • Gathering and assembling the needed information to create audio project road maps
  • Assisting the audio director with drafting road maps if needed
  • Establishing best practices for structuring, publishing and maintaining audio documentation on Confluence

Qualifications

Compétences et profil
  • Au moins 2 ans d'expérience dans la gestion de pipelines d'acquisition de contenu de voix hors champ dans le multimédia, de préférence dans les jeux vidéo
