Company: iGame Audio
Location: Remote / UK
We Are Hiring! We’re looking for game audio support.
This will be a highly flexible, variable & ongoing remote contract, in the range of 5-20 hours a week. We work with small teams on a wide range of interesting games. Whilst there will be room for you to learn new things, this is a role for an experienced audio designer.
The only requirement is that your time zone is close to ours. We’re largely based in the UK, so if you aren’t within UTC -2 to +2, you are much less likely to be considered.
SpecificationA technical game audio generalist will be a great fit; experience of the following is essential:
- Designing original sound assets for a wide range of styles
- Implementing audio via middleware (particularly FMOD Studio)
- Integrating audio into game engines (particularly Unity)
- Designing and implementing dynamic music
- Working closely with programmers
- Light coding (C in particular)
- Designing tonal audio – a musical ear is critical
- Editing sound recording sessions
- Capturing and organising game footage
- Designing and syncing audio to linear media
- Self-organising tasks and asset tracking; AKA spreadsheets
Beyond that, experience with any combination of the below should absolutely be noted in your application, but is not required:
- Shipping games!
- Wwise
- Unreal, GameMaker & Godot
- Reaper
If you are interested, please complete this form.
Please read the form carefully, answering any questions exactly as described.
Applications close on Friday 26th October
Notes- This is not a composer’s role. I cannot stress this enough; if your website brands you heavily as a composer, or you have limited experience with sound design and audio implementation, then this role is not for you.
- In any large text boxes, please use line breaks/paragraphs to space out your text. Google Sheets does not play well with long sentences.
- If you are successful, the next step will be a casual remote interview, but I may also require you to take a short paid audio test.
Thanks for taking an interest!
