Highlight – sound stories this week:

Audio Director (Horror)
Company: Mob Entertainment
Location: Remote
Job description

Mob Entertainment, the studio behind the breakout indie horror hit Poppy Playtime, is hiring an Audio Director to own the sonic vision across its horror games. You would lead the internal audio team plus external composers and VO partners, shaping adaptive music, creature vocalizations, ambience and the kind of jump-scare design that keeps players on edge, with implementation built in Unreal Engine and Metasounds. They want a senior hand with 10+ years in game audio and 5+ in a leadership role who has shipped a horror, suspense or atmospheric title and knows how sound builds fear and tension. It is remote within the US, with a salary range topping out around $224,000 depending on location. The opening was shared in the LinkedIn Audio Jobs group, so you’ll need to be a member of the group to view the original post.

Audio Producer (11 month FTC )
Company: Universal Music Group
Location: UK
Job description

This role sits inside Sollos, Universal Music's audio-wellness venture, recently launched as Sound Therapy on Apple Music, which engineers music and soundscapes to help people focus, relax and sleep. As Audio Producer you would blend science-backed auditory beats with tracks from UMG's roster, produce wellness remixes and bespoke artist collaborations, and run rigorous QC on the audio, mixing and metadata while working alongside the cognitive science and AI research teams. They are after a strong music producer or audio engineer with real depth in editing, composition, sound design, mixing and mastering, and advanced Ableton Live skills. It is an 11-month fixed-term contract based at Kings Cross in London.

Senior Sound Designer, Music (12-month contract)
Company: Electronic Arts
Location: Sweden
Job description

EA's DICE studio in Stockholm, the team behind Battlefield, is after a Senior Sound Designer with a strong music background for a 12-month contract. Sound design stays at the core, but music is a big part of the day to day: you would collaborate with composers, implement and evolve interactive music systems, design transitions and playback logic that react to gameplay, and help shape how music and sound sit together in the final mix. They want someone fluent in interactive music and middleware like Wwise and FMOD, comfortable in tools such as Reaper and Pro Tools. One thing to note: EA can only consider candidates already based in Sweden. The opening was shared in the LinkedIn Audio Jobs group, so you’ll need to be a member of the group to view the original post.
