About the Job:
Hardsuit Labs is seeking a sound designer who can specialize in environmental and foley audio creation and implementation. You will work closely with your Audio Lead, as well as the animation and level design departments. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating foley and environmental audio, managing environmental and foley audio plans with level design/animation, and scripting and implementing audio in engine. The candidate is expected to create and implement audio that hits the highest bar of quality.

This is a full-time staff position, located in Seattle, WA.

You?

Audio/music freak, gamer, passionate about your craft, and ready to inspire your coworkers by bringing fresh ideas and creativity to the table. You are a skilled sound designer with a deep knowledge of the tools of every part of the sound design pipeline, from foley recording to the final game engine mix. You have mastered the skills and vernacular of 3D audio implementation in the Unreal Engine, and have a grounding in the basics of blueprint scripting. You get immense satisfaction from collaborating with the team, and finally hearing your soundscapes rendered in game. You enjoy communicating, collaborating, and participating in a team with a common focus and shared goals.

Basic Qualifications:
• Record, edit, create and implement high quality sound effects
• Proficiency with recording hardware and DAW software
• Ability to create sound assets that are unique, memorable, and impactful
• Proficiency with digital signal processing tools
• 2 years game audio experience
• Mastery of placing and implementing sound in UE4
• Proficiency with Wwise or FMOD
• Excellent communication skills, including a strong collaborative inclination
• Ability to take direction
• Ability to manage delivery plans and hit deadlines
• Ability to play through a game environment that’s in development and determine the audio needs, with a creative ear
• Keen awareness of prioritizing essentials vs. non-essentials
• Ability and desire to learn new tools quickly
• Passion for storytelling through audio

Preferred Qualifications:
• Audio programming/technical sound design experience a plus
• Proficiency with synthesizers a plus
• Experience in film/cinematic audio a plus

Dans le cadre de son développement, le studio de Bordeaux recrute un Sound Designer (H/F). Au sein du studio de production de Bordeaux, vous êtes rattaché à l’équipe Audio d’un de nos projets AAA. Vous êtes responsable de la qualité du contenu sonore, de la conception des assets à leur intégration dans le jeu.

Dans ce contexte, vos missions principales sont :
• Concevoir, créer et modifier les contenus originaux audio conformément à la vision créative du projet
• Prototyper et développer des solutions techniques pour contribuer à l’amélioration de la qualité des contenus audio
• Veillez à la bonne intégration des données audio dans notre moteur de jeu
• Identifier des solutions pour résoudre les problématiques techniques en cas de bug ou de problème en collaboration avec les équipes impliquées

Qualifications :
• Vous disposez au minimum de 5 ansd’expériences en tant que Designer Audio pour la production de jeux vidéo etidéalement sur au moins un jeu AAA
• Vous maîtrisez desoutils/logiciels spécialisés en Audio (Wwise, Reaper, Sound Forge, Vegas, etc…)et vous êtes également au fait des nouvelles techniques et tendances

The Audio Project Lead will manage all the audio assets flow between the project management team and the internal audio team, identifying, scheduling and supervising audio production phases and tasks. Will effectively manage day-to-day communication with all project team members and ensure that quality and schedule expectations are met.

The ideal candidate will have to:
• Manage assessment of the Audio assets
• Define, prioritize, track and manage requirements and deliverables.
• Drive issue resolution and address contingencies in a timely manner.
• Create, track, and adhere to project schedules, and timelines. Expose, report on, and resolve deviations and variances. Ensure all projects are completed within designated timeframes.
• Evaluate and define the approach to pre / post / recording
• Actively contribute to project meeting organised by the PM
• Proactively communicate with audio and PM teams regarding project status, and any other issues.

Technical Skill Requirements:
• Being proficient using Pro Tools Software and plug-ins.
• Basic knowledge of Reaper, Audition, Soundforge.
• Previous experience in voice/dialogue recording, editing and processing.
• Advanced skills in recording, editing, analyzing dynamic range, levelling.
• Advance understanding in audio file formats, bit rate and sample rates.
• Good Knowledge in MS Excel.
• Ability to work in team environment and follow precise instructions.
• Ability to meet deadlines on time.
