Zynga Slots/Match division seeks an Audio Designer to compose music and perform audio design, specification, implementation, editing and review tasks for our growing stable of casual games for mobile and web platforms. You’ll be joining a highly-focused team of game professionals, building audio and soundtrack specifications for a successful Zynga game already in flight, and seeing that audio through to implementation and release in a rapid-cadence environment.

If you are the ideal candidate, you will:

  • Be an experienced composer in multiple genres of commercial music, utilizing the latest Digital Audio Workstations and software instrument libraries — (i.e. ProTools, Logic Pro, Reaper, East West Libraries, Kontakt, etc).
  • Be familiar with principals of sound design and sound effects creation, from foley recording, use of sound libraries, to sound synthesis & modeling
  • Have an understanding of working with game development environments — Unity, Wwise, Fmod audio integration software experience a significant plus — including live-ops and production-release cadences
  • Be fluently conversant with using spreadsheets as database-repository/organization/communication/tracking tools — Excel and GoogleDocs sheets a plus
  • Be familiar with concepts and tools for Audio Signal Processing and repair: Izotope RX, Melodyne a plus
  • Have a working knowledge of Acoustics and 3D localization concepts, reverb, EQ, compression, mastering and noise reduction

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Audio Director to join the Ready at Dawn team in creating high profile original titles in the VR space. In this role you will ensure the quality of the audio content and its integration into the game. You will supervise audio production and make certain it is keeping with the game vision. An ideal candidate has strong sound design and technical skills with hands-on experience creating immersive and memorable sound landscape.


  • Work closely with the core team to define and communicate the project’s audio vision and build an effective audio strategy/roadmap.

  • Experience in multi-platform AAA game development and managing complex audio content.
  • Participated in the full development cycle and at least shipped 1 complete AAA project.
  • Great communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Depth knowledge of Dolby and Dolby Atmos requirements and techniques.
  • Experience with interactive score and adaptive/interactive soundscapes for continuous day/night game cycles.
  • Experience with weapon and vehicle sound design, recording, and implementation.

For years this audio team has been operating separately under Live Action and Animation teams, and we are now uniting our resources to form one independent department that will be a shared service supporting Rooster Teeth Animation, Rooster Teeth Studios, Let’s Play groups, and 3rd party productions.
