Audio Capture Specialist Assistant

Job description

Become part of the EA’s Audio capture team, the European based localization audio recordings management team. This is a project coordination/management role which does not require an audio engineering background. The role consists of managing project data and documentation surrounding multi-lingual audio recordings and providing remote support to the worldwide recording studios throughout the localization process of any given project.

Responsibilities:
• Information management: Track audio recording sessions, assets and delivery dates and workloads. Provide concise reports to the Localization team
• Asset management: Use internal tools to ensure consistency between recording scripts and audio files received
• Vendor management: Manage international communication with worldwide audio vendors. Assist in the ongoing maintenance of the loc recording studios database
• Project Coordination: Plan, define scopes, monitor schedules and milestones, time estimating, documentation…
• Maintain proactive communication within the Audio teams, testing teams, Project Management teams and text Asset Localization team to identify risks and provide mitigations
• Contract management: Monitors the receipt of the agreements in the project assigned, including talents and recording studios contracts
• Casting management: Efficiently manage the VO cast selection of all localized versions, ensuring the quality standards of all parties involved are met
• Talent management: Manage talent availability limitations, taking action to mitigate any risk associated with it
• Bug fixing management: Track and fix audio recording bugs where necessary
• When necessary, assist recordings remotely via VoIP Applications

Qualifications:
• Excellent mother tongue and English skills. Fluent both written and orally in both languages. More than two languages would be desirable
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
• Good understanding of localization & video games requirements, especially audio
• Proven adaptability and attention to detail
• Ability to take ownership, be responsible and maintain a proactive approach
• Team worker with excellent customer and quality focus
• Proven experience in prioritizing workload according to deadlines
• Experience in audio or recording studios would be desirable
• 1+ years’ experience in the Audio Localization industry
• 1+ years’ experience working with multiple vendors
• 1+ years’ experience in project management
• Audio asset management experience (sending, receiving and tracking) would be desirable
• Knowledge in VO recordings and DAWs would be desirable

Audio Librarian

Facebook is looking for an audio librarian to join our existing team of sound designers at Facebook. Candidates must have a passion for sound, extreme attention to detail and a history of working with large amounts of content in audio production environments. The role combines large scale digital asset management with a focus on team support. Candidates must have the ability to collaborate closely with other team members as well as product teams, so strong communication skills are required. Music editorial skills are also required.

Responsibilities:
• Create and manage a searchable database of audio assets
• Receive and archive assets created by both internal and external designers
• Organize and archive audio assets in all stages from creation to final product

Responsibilities:
• Plan, distribute and supervise project audio work whilst ensuring that the team works well together and resolving any issues that could hinder the team’s attainment of production objectives
• Set out the sound design with the core team in the project design phase
• Realise the impact of the targets set by project managers in terms of workload and resources when designing the scope and deliverables or processing project changes and implement problem-solving strategies for the team whenever necessary
• Organise and coordinate the activities and resources required as part of the production process at all project phases
• Challenge team members whenever necessary to ensure that all technical decisions are sound and based on facts
• Provide visibility for the team on the progress of the deliverables (planned and actual deliverables) and implement solutions to avoid gaps
Understand the game’s technical and artistic constraints and important aspects (story, gameplay, vision) to direct/coach the team

Voice Director

Telltale Games, fast-growing digital publisher of licensed interactive episodic content on all gaming platforms is looking for a seasoned, experienced Voice Director for an in-house role at the Telltale Games Studio in San Rafael. This candidate will inspire, coach and motivate voice actors to achieve the highest level possible of voice performance for our games. Our Voice Director requires a firm knowledge of the recording process for VO, along with substantial experience working with actors in a voice/dialog capacity for animation, movies, games, commercials, or media. Outstanding voice performances are integral to Telltale’s success and this role is at the heart of the creative process.

Responsibilities:
• Direct and coach voice talent for optimal dialog performance in Telltale Games
• Coordinate voice talent for auditions and recording sessions
• Work with production team to prepare and organize scripts and other materials for recording sessions
• Work with game development teams to fulfill VO requirements
• Meet with the producer, director, and other senior creative team to review script and discuss the vision of the project
• Coach and direct voice actors as to the emotion and personality of the character in the scene
• Participate in table reads of scripts, meeting with Producers/Directors and Writers prior to the master recording or auditioning sessions
• Rectify invoices from voice recording sessions
• Work with talent agencies and agents to secure voice talent

Qualifications:
