We are looking for an exceptional and talented Audio Designer to join our growing Audio team in Cambridge, UK. You will be a part of the creative services team which consists of Graphic Design, Web Design, Web Development, Video and Audio. You will work closely with our Marketing Department creating fantastic sounding trailers, teasers and program materials, so the focus is on your linear track laying, music editing and sound design skills. Music production skills are a bonus but not necessary. You will work under the instruction of the Audio Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborating with creative, publishing and development teams to create compelling Audio mixes.
  • Sound design, editing and mixing of linear trailers or cinematics in multiple formats and specifications.
  • Field Recording – Assisting Video team with a knowledge of recording gear, microphones and recording techniques.
  • Collaborate with Audio team to innovate and advance improvements within the current marketing audio pipeline.
  • Be an active team member to help encourage, deliver and receive constructive criticism within the Audio team.
About you
  • Keen interest in Audio and Sound Design. Interested in video games and the industry is an advantage, but not required.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Have experience creating sound effects using custom recordings and library material to generate linear content.
  • Possess a high level of ability and familiarity with DAWs such as Cubase, Reaper (preferred), Pro Tools, and the integrated use of plug-ins.
  • Demonstrate excellent recording, sourcing, editorial, track laying, mixing and mastering skills.
  • Have a passion for audio and drive to make marketing and public facing materials sound fantastic.
  • Creative vision with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Have knowledge of recording techniques, microphone placement, Foley sound creation and on-location recording. Desirable, but not essential.

Your Mission:

As a Sound Designer at Infinity Ward, you will use your technical and creative audio skills to bring life to the action in our next big adventure.   • Understanding of next gen console audio functionality and capabilities.

Senior Sound Designer

We can’t say what kind of sounds you will make, but we can say what tasks lay ahead of you:
  • Design and production of sound effects and audio assets utilizing sound libraries, audio synthesis, location & foley recording.

  • Creation of the audio systems and integrating audio assets into the game using Wwise and U4.

  • Close cooperation with design and other art departments with the goal to create an immersive audio experience for existing gameplay mechanics and narrative parts.

  • Break down tasks into manageable chunks for clear individual accountability of members on your team. Cast tasks to your team members

Requirements & Skills:
  • 5 years working on AAA video game audio. Film/TV audio is a plus
  • Proven department leadership experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
  • Experience working on narrative-driven games, features and systems
  • Experience using Unreal Engine and Blueprints
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, especially while working with groups outside of the audio department
Qualities:
  • Adaptive interpersonal skills, knowing when to use formal or informal tactics and strategy to achieve project success
  • Able to "read the room" and create an inclusive environment for the audio team and colleagues in and outside the company
