Our multicultural team consists of talents from all around the world, and our daily working language is English. We believe in the power of diversity – where different experiences, backgrounds, and ideas drive innovation and results.

Job Description

While visual experience is key, so is audio. When you visit the physical environment of another user, sound sources should behave realistically with respect to your own movement. That is why we are looking for a Senior Audio Software Engineer to lead our end-to-end audio pipeline development from spatial audio capture to streaming to pose-aware playback.

You are familiar with both mobile microphone solutions for speech capture as well as multi-microphone spatial capture systems. You know the existing state-of-the-art spatial audio technologies (binaural audio, HRTFs, ambisonics) and know what type of data hardware DSPs produce and how to integrate them with the latest software solutions. You have built audio pipelines from microphones to playback and know how they are integrated with visual pipelines and encoded and streamed in low-latency over the internet – in sync with video. We are dealing with capture devices that know their pose – location and orientation – and you know just the tricks to make most use of this.

What you’ll be doing
  • Develop and maintain all audio-related code, including: audio testing, audio rendering pipeline and spatial audio, microphone capture pipeline and processing.
  • Create code that is elegant and maintainable. It really ships to users.
  • Take accountability for solutions that are modular and testable. Have pride for building unit and regression testing to prove that your code and solutions truly work.
  • Work closely with hardware and other software engineering teams on tech selections and solutions.
Our expectations
  • Hands-on experience in spatial audio capture and playback technologies and libraries. You know what works and when.
  • Strong DSP background
  • Fluent in C/C++ with over 4 years of experience as primary CPU language.
  • Track record of shipping working code and solutions based on your contributions.
  • Team player, ability to perform in cross functional teams and to share knowledge to others
  • Proactive and ability to work independently.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • A formal education in audio technology, such as a Master's degree in Audio Technology, or similarly relevant experience in the audio technology industry.
Preferred
  • Windows audio development experience (WASAPI, Windows Spatial Audio, Audio Driver development) is a big plus.
  • Previous experience with VR/XR projects.
  • Experience in mixed reality solutions in which also the virtual content affects audio.
  • Experience with audio quality testing and knowledge about the testing methodologies.
  • Forward-thinking about and interested in the latest audio technologies and developments.
By joining us, you’ll get
  • Opportunity to take part in creating the new state-of-the-art in virtual and mixed reality experiences.
  • A low-hierarchy culture with minimal bureaucracy and maximum opportunity for you to take charge of your work.
  • Flexible working conditions with hybrid working environment, competitive salary, and great benefits.
  • An international working environment with tons of opportunities to learn and grow with the company.

Ready to jump into the exciting world of VR/XR? Apply now. Please include your CV and a link to your LinkedIn profile.

This position will be filled as soon as the suitable candidate is found.
