We’re expanding our fully-remote team with people who share our passion for collaborative, multiplayer gameplay.

As an Audio Design Intern at Disruptive Games, you will receive mentorship over 3 months while helping craft the sonic identity of our game and the audio tools used to realize it. Your internship will entail conceptualizing and designing sounds as well as creating dynamic and adaptive audio systems. We’re looking for someone with a passion for game audio, a team player attitude, and a knack for problem solving.

What You'll Do:
  • Receive mentorship from and work closely with the Lead and Technical Audio Designer to conceive, design, script, prototype, iterate, validate, and improve dynamic audio systems in Unreal Engine 5.
  • Design and implement audio assets while keeping them creatively aligned with the overall vision of the game.
  • Collaborate and communicate cross-departmentally with designers, programmers, artists, producers and QA.
  • Share and absorb knowledge alongside peers that are excited to learn about the connection between various creative disciplines.
  • Regularly playtest our game and provide both creative and technical feedback on ways to improve and enhance the game's mix and sonic identity.
What You'll Bring:
  • Candidates must apply with a resume and a link to their portfolio with samples to be considered
  • Proficient in audio production software (DAWs)
  • Self-motivated with strong communication skills, and able to provide and receive constructive feedback with ease and kindness
  • Able to work well individually and as part of a highly collaborative team
  • Strong proven sound design and implementation skills
  • Comfortable working in a 100% remote environment via video conferencing and discussion tools such as Discord, MS Teams, or Zoom

Senior Dialogue Designer

Guerrilla, the Amsterdam-based PlayStation studio behind the critically acclaimed action RPG Horizon Zero Dawn and the recently released Horizon Forbidden West, is looking for an experienced Dialogue Designer. In this role, you will join Guerrilla’s multifaceted team of Audio pros, collectively tackling a wide range of deep, complex creative and technical challenges. To accomplish your goals you can expect to collaborate closely with designers, writers, animators and technicians throughout the studio.

In this newly created position, you will help Guerrilla create world class story content and ideate, concept and deliver dialogue systems that make our characters (playable and NPC) feel alive in gameplay settings. Among other things, we will look to you to:
  • design and build dialogue systems with complex logic that set the standard for AAA games.
  • collaborate with design, audio and writing teams to make the dialogue systems part of a fluid player experience.
  • integrate and mix cinematic dialogue in our games.
  • supervise dialogue asset editorial and mastering.
  • understand, troubleshoot and improve our dialogue recording pipeline.
  • design and maintain large dialogue features and communicate them to your peers.

To be considered a candidate for this position, we expect you to:

  • Research Interns are expected to be physically located in their manager’s Microsoft worksite location for the duration of their internship.

The base pay range for this internship is USD $6,290 – $12,170 per month. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $8,060 – $13,240 per month.
