ResponsibilitiesAs a Music Composer at Stairway, you will be responsible for creating original music and soundtracks that enhance the atmosphere and gameplay experience of our games. You will work closely with our development team to understand the creative vision and mood of each project, and then compose music that elevates the player's emotional engagement and immersion in the game world.

What You’ll Do:- Compose original music tracks for various game projects

Rockstar North is on the lookout for a talented Associate Music Producer to work within the Interactive Music team. This is a full-time permanent position based out of Rockstar’s unique game development studio in the heart of Edinburgh.
WHAT WE DO- The Rockstar Interactive Music team is responsible for preparing and implementing dynamic score and in-world music for our games.
- We are a friendly, detail-oriented team committed to creating an immersive and exciting score experience.
- Aid in the production and delivery of audio assets for in-game licensed music and score, ensuring the highest possible audio quality, musicality and authenticity of these features.
- Prepare audio sessions for our Music Producer, assist in mix, mastering and editing responsibilities bringing audio sessions to in-game specifications (such as loudness, spectral balance and crest factor) and create stems/loops from finished sessions.
- Work closely with team members on refinement, in-game implementation, testing and review.
- Produce and respond to feedback notes from in-game review of music to ensure aesthetic and functional standards are being met.
- Thoroughly test own work in-game, keep on top of content changes and make required updates and fixes.
- Maintenance of shared documentation; team members rely on each other presenting information clearly and keeping documents up to date.
- 2:1 or 1st degree in sound engineering or related subject. Ideally including technical courses on digital signal processing, audio codecs, loudness measurement, music production.
- Demonstrated experience of designing complex technical solutions to real-time, interactive music playback scenarios on large projects (e.g. Building Live shows with advanced integrated Playback, Midi and/or Modular synth setups or generative music installations)
- High degree of proficiency with using Ableton, Pro tools and various plugin suites (e.g. Izotope, UAD, Waves etc) to mix, edit and master music across multiple genres, with proven experience of managing large scale audio production sessions. Immaculate session/plugin/license management is essential.
- Grade 6+ or equivalent in at least one instrument and a good understanding of music theory.
- Evidence of advanced and creative use of DSP and sound synthesis on music projects.
- Evidence of experience implementing music into media; linear or interactive.
- Strong understanding of the role and function of score in games and media; ability to explore and connect with design aims.
- Conscientious, highly organised individual with meticulous approach to work and excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communicator who enjoys a collaborative approach to work, whilst also being confident to complete tasks and problem solve independently.

As the Senior Sound Supervisor, you will be part of the audio leadership team working on Forza Motorsport, and you will be responsible for defining the direction and goals of our audio content strategy. You will also be working in close collaboration with the development leads to deliver technical content creation methods and processes that aim to efficiently and cost effectively deliver high quality audio content. The Senior Sound Supervisor is a good communicator and collaborator, who can provide the requisite training, documentation and design to a group of sound designers and work closely with development teams on new technologies and workflows.
